İstanbul Fashion Week ( IFW) has just begun !

Every season IFW is getting more professional and inspirational. Young designers are getting experience, more probationed ones are seen on international fair and organizations. With the soul of this colorful city, I am sure that in a short time, this organization will be mentioned more...


Let me give you a quick info about the catwalks of this season.


The well known names will not be in the show this season. It is a pity that we can not see Bahar Korçan, Özlem Süer, Hakan Yıldırım, Ümit Ünal, Hatice Gökçe and Arzu Kaprol.


Atıl Kutoğlu will have a show, and I am sure that he will get compliments as usual.


Gamze Saraçoğlu has a special perfume for her collection.


Mehtap Elaidi will use her own net designs.


And Özgür Masur will use traditional marbled designs.


Zeynep Erdoğan will show season’s most commercial motif, brush effects.


Another name using designs is, Günseli Türkay. I have seen a few weeks ago her broken porcelain plates in the factory, they are soo fine and I am impatient to see them on garments.


I am curious about Niyazi Erdoğan’s menswear collection, Zeynep Tosun’s bags accompany to her collection, Deniz Kaprol’s amazing jewellery, Tween’s and Koton’s shows which will be real real shows.


I will not be in the shows to watch as I am still working on some fabrics which will be in the shows this weekend. But my colleque Şebnem will be watching them with the photo help of Selçuk Doğruğlu. She will write all the details when I will be in Paris next week.

IFW her geçen sezon çok daha profesyonel ve ilham verici bir etkinlik olmaya devam ediyor. Genç tasarımcılar deneyim kazanırken biraz daha deneyimlilerini yurtdışındaki fuar ve organizasyonlarda görüyoruz. Bu rennkli ruhu ile İstanbul'un moda haftasının her geçen sezon daha fazla kendinden bahsettireceğine eminim.

Bu yıl ben defileleri izleyemiyorum, zira hala hem fuar için hem de bu hafta düzenlenecek kimi defileler için desenler yetiştiriyoruz. Haftaya Paris yolcusuyum, ama haftasonu ve gelecek hafta tüm detayları Selçuk'un fotoğrafları ile Şebnem sizlere iletecek. Ben şimdilik dikkatimi çeken detayları yazayım:

Bahar Korçan, Özlem Süer, Hakan Yıldırım, Ümit Ünal, Hatice Gökçe and Arzu Kaprol moda haftasında defile sunmuyorlar.

Atıl Kutoğlu devam ediyor.

Gamze Saraçoğlu'nun koleksiyonu kadar bu koleksiyona özel yaptırdığı söylenen parfümü merak ediliyor.

Mehtap Elaidi kendi tasarladığı ağ desenleri gösterecekmiş.

Özgür Masur ebru desenleri Zeynep Erdoğan ise fırça efektlerini kullanıyorç Bu sezon bir çok modacının desen kullanıyor olması hoş bir gelişme.

Bu arada Günseli Türkay'ın kırık porselenlerini bir kaç hafta önce gördüm ve dikilmiş olarak nasıl görüneceklerini çok merak ediyorum.

Niyazi Erdoğan'ın koleksiyonu, Zeynep Tosun'un koleksiyona eşlik eden çantalarını, Deniz Kaprol'un takılarını,  Tween'in şovunu ve Koton'un Discorium'daki şovunu çok merak ediyorum.

Son kalan kumaşlarını da yetiştirebilirsem podyumda görmeyi de çok isterdim ...
